Forgive me father, for I have Ginned!

To Gin or not to Gin? That is the question. Is it Gin o’ clock yet? Well it’s always Gin o’ clock somewhere of course and where better to be than the Manchester Gin Festival.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by a helpful host who explained the whole experience and then we were left free to let our taste buds mingle with Gin.

Gin this way…

Let the party be ginThere was a payment station at the entrance so need to cash after first entry if you don’t want to. A Gin and tonic was £5 and there were 4 free minis and lots of tasting to partake in.

Within the festival there were lots of popular Gin stalls (Liverpool Gin, Manchester Gin & Collagin) with very lovely Gin and various tonics to accompany.

Then bars which had all the different types of Gins to sample and purchase drinks. Every Gin had the appropriate garnish in the drink to make the perfect Gin refreshment.

My favourite drink of the day was Edinburgh Gin, rhubarb and Ginger flavour with Ginger beer. Delicious 😋

Edin Gin

Second favourite was Manchester Gin. I enjoyed a Raspberry Gin and the purple one with tasted very similar to Parma violets! Zymugorium, sweet violet Gin.

Throughout the day there was entertainment, cocktail classes (with tasters) and food to purchase. We were there a good few hours and had a fabulous, girly, Gin sort of day.
